An injury forced Mountain Pointe’s heart and soul, running back Wesley Payne, to sit out of Friday’s game. But Paul Lucas (No. 30) and Mountain Pointe still ran away from Hamilton. Lucas rushed for 143 yards and returned a kickoff 96-yards for a touchdown in Mountain Pointe’s 37-27 win. Hamilton’s defense gave up more than 30 points in a regular season game for the first time since Sept. 2008.
