On Saturday afternoon the Knights won the 2A Gila Region with a 14-7 win over Sequoia Pathway Academy! This Region Championship makes it back-to-back seasons in which The Gilbert Christian Knights’ football program has won it!

 Notable performances included: 

·   Sam Webb over 100 yards rushing and 1 TD

·   Zach Hohmann with 2 big catches that kept drives alive

·   Tyler Burr stood strong in the pocket and helped lead our team to the win

·   Bennett Juve had a huge 40+ yard catch and played lockdown defense all afternoon at Cornerback

·   Kaleb Powell had an INT on defense that helped turn momentum to our side

The offensive and defensive lines stayed strong all afternoon and played well enabling the team  to get the win and to be called the REGION CHAMPS!

The opponents for this week’s game scheduled for this Friday, October 28th has forfeited. Therefore, there will be no game this week. The Knights will find out who they play in the first round of the playoffs this Saturday morning. Go Knights!
