Deer Valley puts its perfect record on the line Friday night, as the SkyHawks host the Horizon Huskies in a Division II matchup. Deer Valley is 3-and-0 on the season following wins at Willow Canyon, at home against Prescott and most recently at Barry Goldwater. The SkyHawks, who are 1-and-0 in Section I play, blanked Goldwater 28-0 last Friday in a game called at halftime due to lightning.

Senior running back Trae Armstrong has led Deer Valley so far, rushing for 305 yards and five touchdowns in two and a half games. Senior quarterback Austin Hillman has added 427 yards and five scores through the air; four to wide receiver Jacques Bruce.

Horizon, meanwhile, has won two in a row to move to 2-and-1 on the season. After losing 20-15 at North Canyon to open the year, the Huskies have cruised to home victories over Goldwater and Shadow Mountain. They have outscored their opponents 108-35 and are currently tied with Chaparral atop the Division II, Section III standings at 2-and-0.

Horizon senior signal caller Kyle Woods is 22-of-45 for 401 yards with six touchdowns and one interception so far this season. He also has 25 carries for 111 yards and two TDs. Dushawn Brown has six catches for 231 yards and four scores, while Julian Perea-Schaefer leads the team with 10 grabs for 114 yards and three touchdowns. Kickoff Friday night is set for 7pm.
