The Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions will take on the Brophy Prep Broncos Friday at Phoenix College. This is the season opener for both teams and a rematch of last year’s first round 5A Division I playoff matchup in which Brophy won 24-17. Brophy finished 6-6 last year, losing in the second round of the playoffs to Mountain Pointe 13-12. Mountain Ridge was 8-3 last season. This year, both teams will play in Division I Section III.
