Football passing league fever spreads to northern Arizona

Football teams from northern Arizona have the summer passing league fever.
Sixteen teams from that part of the state and two from the Phoenix area will compete on Saturday in the first annual Universal Athletic Northern Arizona Passing League Tournament at Flagstaff Coconino High.
Games begin at 10 a.m. and will run all day at Coconino and SInagua Middle School. After four round-robin games, teams will be seeded in the tournament bracket that begins at 4 p.m. and wraps up with the championship game at 7:30 p.m.
Coconino will have two teams in the tournament, as will neighboring Flagstaff High.
Other teams participating are Lakeside Blue Ridge, Laveen Cesar Chavez, Show Low, Chino Valley, Tuba City, Page, Williams, Camp Verde, Sedona Red Rock, Avondale Agua Fria, Kingman, Prescott, Kayenta Monument Valley and Snowflake.
