The AIA is proud to welcome The Gante School (Nogales, Mexico) as an Associate Member School. This unique relationship is the first of its kind in the country. As an Associate Member school, The Gante School will not be eligible for post-season play but will be able to play AIA schools beginning this academic year, 2011-2012. The Board and staff feel very strongly that this relationship will open new scheduling opportunities in the southern part of our state, provide an opportunity for The Gante School to participate in AIA member school invitational tournaments, provide coach education to The Gante School coaches, for AIA coaches to provide youth clinics in the Nogales area and not to mention the cultural benefits between students from the AIA schools and The Gante School. We look forward to developing the relationships between The Gante School and the Sonora Sports Commission (Mexico).
