First-round matches pretty much went off without a hitch for the winning teams Monday afternoon in the 5A-I and 5A-II boys and girls team tennis championships.

Only one losing team pushed a match to the brink (Boulder Creek girls beating Lake Havasu girls 5-4) with the rest doing no better than 5-2 losses Most matches were 5-0 sweeps. The quarterfinal matchups on Thursday are as follows:
