The early signing period for senior athletes began Wednesday.

Corona del Sol had an impressive showing with 13 athletes from an array of sports.

For baseball, right handed pitcher Quinn Flanagan inked his commitment to University of Arizona, and middle infielder Chase Hamilton signed with Colorado Mesa University.

Softball also had Aztecs moving on to the collegiate level.

Third baseman Allyssia Sanchez signed on to play for Arizona Christian University and catcher Haley Vallejos finally signed her letter to play at Penn State after committing last summer before her junior year.

Members of the women's golf and lacrosse teams also had players sign.

Emma Lower signed with the University of Hawaii's golf team and midfielder Erin Langley signed her letter to play lacrosse at Adams State Universty.

Up next for the Aztecs was their wrestling commits, Brandon Konecny and Vincent Dolce, both signing with the United States Air Force Academy.

On the hardwood, guard Leilani Peat signed on with Seattle University.

The men's team had their starting backcourt sign letters.

Point guard Saben Lee inked his commitment to play at Vanderbilt University and ESPN-100 ranked shooting guard Alex Barcello signed on to join Sean Miller's squad at the University of Arizona.

For the final two Aztecs, these ladies were lucky enough to share their National Signing Day before playing in the state championship game for volleyball.

Outside hitter Erica Ronda decided to stay home and sign with Arizona State Sand Volleyball.

And lastly, middle blocker Lauren Forte signed on to play for the California Golden Bears.

"I decided on Cal because of the balance of academics and athletics as well as the family atmosphere," Forte said. "When I went on my unofficial I felt really comfortable with the players and the coaches."

Ronda and Forte were able to cap off the night with a state championship victory over Mountain Pointe in straight sets.

The future looks bright for these very talented Aztecs.
