Mesa City Championship

Superstition Springs Golf Club: Oct. 21-22

Catalina Foothills put together the best round (+8, 296) of the Mesa City Championships on Saturday, Oct. 22 to win the trophy by one stroke over Red Mountain (602-603). Red Mountain led the field by six strokes after the first round on Friday.

Falcon standout Reece Nilsen led his team to victory thanks to a tournament-best round of 69 on Saturday. Nilsen shot an even 72 on Friday but his 3-under 69 proved to be the difference. Queen Creek standout Gabe Salvanera took second with a 1-over 145.

Catalina Foothills is ranked 4^th in Division II while Red Mountain is 9^th in the D-I rankings.
