8th annual Desert Twilight XC Invite set for Friday Oct. 3 in Casa Grande

The Desert Twilight Cross Country Festival brings out the best best Arizona has to offer in the sport Friday (Oct. 3) at its new home.

The 8th annual meet moves from Toka Sticks Golf Course in Mesa to Casa Grande where five hours of races take place at the Grande Sports Complex. The same array of races for large school (1,800 enrollment plus) and small school (1,800 enrollment and below) plus shorter junior high races and a community race. The new course, 5K in length, snakes through the Francisco Grande Golf Course. Races run from 4 p.m. through the marquee races of the day -- the girls championship at 8:25 p.m., boys championship at 8:40 p.m., 9 p.m. Sole Sports Girls Sweepstakes and concluding with the Sole Sports Boys Sweepstakes at 9:25 p.m.
