Section cross country meets were held Friday Nov. 1 and Saturday Nov. 2 to qualify teams and individuals for next Saturday's (Nov. 9) state meet at Cave Creek Golf Course in Phoenix.

Here are the individual champs, team champs and teams that qualified for state from each section -- 12 sections in all (three each for Divisions I, II, III and IV boys and girls:

BOYS

DIVISION I

SECTION 1: Individual champ -- Nathan Rodriguez, Corona del Sol; Team champ -- Corona del Sol. State qualifying teams - Corona, Ironwood Ridge, Desert Vista, Buena, Perry, Hamilton and Rincon.
