Scottsdale-area baseball teams get rare opportunity

The five high schools from the Scottsdale Unified School District are playing varsity baseball games this week at Scottsdale Stadium as part of the 2013 Scottsdale Stadium Challenge.
Action began Monday (April 15) and continues through Thursday (April 18).
The City of Scottsdale and the Scottsdale Charros have combined forces to showcase the spring training home of the World Series champion San Francisco Giants and enable local high schools to play on the same field as the big leaguers.
Tuesday (April 16) – Scottsdale Desert Mountain vs. Phoenix Pinnacle, 4 p.m.; Scottsdale Chaparral vs. Phoenix Camelback, 7 p.m..
Wednesday (April 17) – Scottsdale Coronado vs. Phoenix Scottsdale Christian, 4 p.m.; Cave Creek Cactus Shadows vs. Phoenix Shadow Mountain, 7 p.m.
Thursday (April 18) – Gilbert Higley vs. Queen Creek, 4 p.m.; Phoenix Arcadia vs. Scottsdale Saguaro, 7 p.m.
