Phoenix Pinnacle star senior guard Drew Bender appears to be lost for the Division I state tournament after suffering an ankle injury.

According to Richard Obert of azcentral.com, Bender said he is on crutches and will be out for several weeks.

Pinnacle, the No. 3 overall seed, has a first-round bye and will open play at home on Saturday night (Feb. 16) against the winner of a Thursday night (Feb. 14) game between No. 19 Vail Cienega and No. 14 Avondale Westview at Westview.
