Our thoughts are with the Winslow community today with news of the death of long-time Winslow High softball coach Becky Barris in a vehicular accident near Flagstaff.

She won 306 games in her 12-year coaching tenure and the Lady Bulldogs won the Class 3A state championship in 2010. She also taught business at the school and if memory serves me correctly, assisted former girls basketball coach and athletic director Don Petranovich with his outstanding program for several years.
