Valley Lutheran will travel to Glendale to take on Joy Christian in a battle of undefeated teams with a 5-0 record on Friday night. The Eagles of Joy Christian are led by head coach Brian Cole. Their offense has produced a combined total of 274 points against their opponents, while only giving up 44 points after five games. The Eagles fell in the championship game last season and has used the game as motivation to push through this season. The team will look to junior quarterback Nick Henderson to lead and find the end zone.
The Valley Lutheran Flames are coached by Bob Wolf and have scored 245 points on the teams they have challenged and have given up 86 points on defense. He has 16 seniors on this year’s program and the strength of the offensive line is sure to put pressure on the Eagles defense.
