Notre Dame junior Landon Ashcraft shot a 5-under-par 31 at the Troon North Golf Course on Tuesday to help the Saints finish with a 5-under 139 as a team. Horizon shot a 2-under 142. Ashcraft was the Division II state champion last fall. The Saints lost to ironwood Ridge last year in a scorecard-playoff.

Hamilton junior Joseph Nelson shot a 4-under-par 32 at the Lone Tree Golf Club to hold off Perry sophomore Ethan Butters by one stroke. Butters drew a birdie on the seventh hole to draw even but a bogey on the eighth proved to be the difference. In all, five golfers finished under par. Perry beat Hamilton by two strokes.
