ARIZONA HIGH SCHOOL FALL PREVIEW

Pinnacle senior Liam Allen shot 10-under-par 132 (65-67) to hold off Prescott senior Jonathan Tso (67-67: 134) at the Arizona High School Fall Preview hosted by Red Mountain on Friday and Saturday. The event was held at the GCU Golf Course.

Allen shot 6-under in round one to set the tone, including a birdie on 16 and 17, to go with an eagle on the 18th. In round two, Allen shot a bogey on the 16th to give Tso an opening but a birdie on the 18th shut the door.

Chaparral won the team title with a 10-over 578 but a 3-under 281 on Saturday was enough to hold off Castell (294-286: 580) for the two-stroke victory.

Catalina Foothills junior Chase Cesarek shot a 4-under 140 (69-71) to win the Brophy Rodeo held at the Grayhawk Raptor Course on Friday and Saturday. Teams from Arizona, Utah, Florida, Texas, Colorado and Illinois took part.

Cesarek beat Kihei Akina, Lone Peak (UT) by one stroke thanks to an eagle on the 18th hole on Saturday. As a team, Brophy beat Lone Peak and Catalina Foothills by one stroke thanks to a 3-under 285 on Friday to hold off the field on Saturday.

Xavier sophomore Alexis Lamadrid shot a 6-under 138 to hold off Castell junior Julia Herzberg by one stroke to win the Brophy Rodeo held Friday and Saturday at Grayhawk. Herzog drew within one stroke after a birdie on the 14th hole on Saturday but both golfers birdied the 16th and 18th hole down the stretch.

Casteel beat Xavier by two strokes. Xavier won the Division I state championship last year and Castell won D-II. Lamadrid was a D-I runner-up and Herzog was the D-II runner-up.
