The PGA National High School Golf Association released its rankings for the 2023-2024 year this week and Hamilton is the top-ranked boys program in the country with an average round of 284. Blacksburg, Virginia came in with an average round of 282 but the Huskies had an average differential of -6.36 compared to a -3.91 for Blacksburg.

Hamilton won the AIA Division I state championship over Brophy. Brophy came in ranked No. 4 in the nation. Ironwood Ridge won the D-II state championship and the Nighthawks came in ranked No. 5 along with Notre Dame, the D-II state runner-up. Catalina Foothills took third at the D-II state tournament and the Falcons came in ranked half a stroke behind Ironwood Ridge and Notre Dame.

D-I individual medalist Adam Croix of Liberty came in ranked No. 2 in the nation behind Blades Brown of Tennessee. D-II state champion Landon Ashcraft of Notre Dame came in ranked No. 8.

On the girl’s side, D-I state champion Xavier finished the season ranked No. 14 in the nation and D-II state champion Casteel is ranked No. 51.

D-II medalist Raegan Capizzi of Chaparral came in ranked No. 15 and D-I state champion Angela Chen of Hamilton is ranked No. 37.

The rankings can change after the spring D-III golf season. The state champion teams are invited to participate in the national tournament, typically held in July.
