ALA Ironwood Warriors did not back down tonight as they took on the San Tan Foothills Sabercats.

The Warriors won 34-14 to honor their seniors and celebrate them graduating in a few months.

Going into this game the Warriors expected a win but not by the gap that they got. The 20-point gap proved that the Warriors are here to stay as their season starts to come to a close.

With this game in the books the Warriors stand at 6-3.

Coach Loren Dawson says if the Warriors win next week's game then they could a chance to get into the playoffs this season. If the Warriors were able to pull through and make the playoff this year, it will be the first time the team has ever gone.

Junior Ayden Williams had a high total of rushing yards this game, everyone losing count after about 178 yards and a total of three touchdowns.

“It was the O-line that was the reason I was able to have so many yards tonight,” Willaims says after the game. “The gap from my O-line, just flushing them out was at least five yards, I was able to walk in.”

Quarterback Jett Brewster said Williams' night proved how good he is again.

“He’s great," Brewster said. "He’s able to carry the ball, averaging about 40 carries per game and he is able to run it. He’s a durable player and a great running back.”

Williams had a heck of a game tonight so it will be interesting to see what he does during his last regular game of his junior season next week.

Brewster says that running the ball tonight really worked in the Warriors favor and was the reason why they were able to gain so many yards.

“We’ve never blocked like that before, it was crazy and amazing to see,” he says.

From the sounds of it, it sounds like the offensive line really proved themselves tonight on the field.

“We have a very good offensive line, tight ends who did a great job blocking and a quarterback who runs the ball really well, between all of them it is the complete package that leads to our success,” Dawson said.

The San Tan Foothills Sabercats took the loss tonight but the Warriors were able to use this game as another stepping stone towards achievement.

They play their last game of the season, October 27 at Florence.
