Phoenix Horizon’s 2012 football campaign received an early boost with a donation of $500 from an area Albertsons food store.

A check was presented to new coach Doug Shaffer during a March 14 ribbon-cutting event signifying the store’s renovation.

The money will be used to upgrade the locker rooms and to purchase equipment.
