On Thursday night, September 8th, the Gilbert Christian Knights defeated the Phoenix Christian Cougars for the first time in school history by a score of 40-21. Both teams played well for the evening but the Knights clearly dominated most of the game. Notable Performances include:

• QB Zach Hohmann (12) with 3 TD passes and 1 rushing TD
• RB Sam Webb (10) with 2 rushing TDs
• WR Bennett Juve (9) with 2 TD receptions
• WR David Russell (12) with 1 TD reception and an INT on defense
• Nate Dickinson (11) perfectly executed an onside kick early in the game that was recovered by Sam Webb (10)
• Caprice Chiuchiolo (10) made 4 extra points on the evening

While the boys are playing, the GCHS Spiritline is all about football nights and field lights as they stir up Knight Nation to get loud and excited for the team.

Next Friday the Knights head to ALA Ironwood for a final non region game of the season. Hope to see everyone there! Go Knights!
