The Canyon View JV A softball team defeated Arcadia on Tuesday night. This was the fourth straight win for the Jaguars, improving the team to 4-0 overall.

“The girls did really well, we worked on mechanics and were able to get everyone into the game,” coach Elaine Renteria said. 

Freshman pitcher Samantha Galindo helped herself at the plate by doubling home the first run of the game. Sophomore Ruby Laws-Albano made two outs in the field to help the Jags finish the first inning with a 9-0 lead.

Sophomore catcher Makenzy Guethle slammed three triples for the Jaguars to help lead the way.

“The team did really well tonight, there weren't many errors compared to the opposing team and we destroyed them,” Guethle said.

Through the third inning, the Jags were being walked as the Arcadia pitcher was tiring down and the Jags led 15-0 by the end of the inning. 

Sophomore Aleena De La Torre made two consecutive plays during the fifth inning at second base, to seal the win.
