CHANDLER — It was a complete team effort for Hamilton and head coach Mike Woods on Tuesday afternoon, a game that saw sixteen different Huskies contribute in a 10-3 trouncing of Mountain Pointe. Through four games played, the Huskies are now averaging 9.75 runs per game and outscoring opponents 39-9.

Though Hamilton did not score in its typical first-inning fashion, the Huskies showed off a balanced offensive attack by scoring at least one run in all innings thereafter. Along with that, the Huskies benefited by runs scored from all but Tuesday’s No. 9 spot in the lineup.

The Huskies' biggest scoring inning came in the bottom half of the second, with a rally started on back-to-back walks drawn by Zach Wadas and Cooper Brass. After a one-out double steal helped to advance the pair into scoring position, Prince DeBoskie connected with a two-run double to bring home the first runs of the game. Two at-bats later, Gavin Turley plated another pair of runs after teeing off on an absolute no-doubter for his second round-tripper of the season.

With Turley’s home run, the Huskies are starting to see power production one through nine – seeing five different student-athletes hammering seven home runs through the team’s first four games of the season.

The Huskies and Pride then traded one run apiece in the fourth. The Pride scored its first run of the day after a leadoff double by Cal Berkeley commit Carter Bailey, who was brought home by an RBI single from Carlos Vega.

The Pride responded with two more in the away half of the fifth on runs scored by their No. 8 and No. 9 hitters, Wyatt Graham and Sam Yeager. The two runs cut the Huskies lead to 6-3.

Despite their best efforts to spark a rally, the Pride’s comeback chances were stopped there and the Huskies would go on to finish with four unanswered runs to close out the game – runs scored by Kucherak, Tiedemann, Roch Cholowsky, and Logan Krei.

Turley finished 2-for-4 with a single, home run, and two RBI. The senior leadoff hitter has now reached base in six of his last 10 trips to the plate. DeBoskie, one of the Huskies fastest playmakers on the diamond, finished 2-for-3 with two doubles and three RBI.

“If I get on base, watch out,” DeBoskie said. “You can really flip the line up any way you want to and we're still gonna win the game in my opinion. We just have pure hitters on our team –  there's no holes.”

Tiedemann finished 2-for-4 at the plate with a single, double, and RBI. The two-way junior also improved to 2-0 on the mound after throwing five innings of three-run, five-hit baseball.

“Just go out there, throw strikes, and let my defense do the work,” Tiedemann said. “It’s really nice knowing that the offense is going to pick you up no matter what happens.”

Following Tiedemann’s performance, Jeremy Jones and Rohan Lettow each went a scoreless inning apiece. Jones pitched to the minimum in the sixth and Lettow racked up a couple of backwards K’s after giving up a leadoff walk in the seventh.

“We all pick each other up out there,” Tiedemann said. “It's going to be a great year.”

Hamilton (4-0) next travels to Scottsdale for a 6:00 p.m. first pitch against Chaparral (2-2) on Wednesday. Mountain Pointe (1-2) hosts Highland (2-1) at 3:45 p.m.
