Christopher Owen attends Canyon View High School and is a member of the AIA's Student SID program. 

The Canyon View Jaguars went up against the La Joya Lobos and won in three sets at Canyon View Arena on Tuesday, September 28th. 

"We did good, but we can do better and imprve for next time," freshman Jordyn Quinn said.

During the first set, Quinn recorded a block to make the score 3-2 with a Jaguars in front. Senior Trevi Jones had a run of points at the end of the set and finished things off for a 25-6 win.

Senior Abigayle Thomas started off the second set by putting the Jags up 1-0. In the middle of the set, Quinn spiked the ball to make the score 13-4. Canyon View went on to win the set 25-7. 

Jones began the Jaguar scoring in the third and final set and would later put the Jags up 4-0 with another kill. Canyon View pulled away 25-13 to finish the match. 

"Tonight was a good game, we were able to hit a few different spots, serving wise,"  coach Stephanie Parker said.

The Lady Jags look forward to their next match against district rival Agua Fria on Thursday.
