Sophomore Mikayla Acosta served the Jaguars to a 7-3 lead in the first set and freshman setter Simone Jones helped Canyon View finsh off La Joya in the 25-5 win.
During the second set, junior Cambrie Harper, helped keep the Jaguars rolling and Bela Grayson ended the game with the final point in the 25-10 win.
“Our performance was pretty good, we could’ve had some more communication, but overall it was a good game,” Jones said.
The junior varsity team will welcome the Agua Fria Owls to campus this Thursday, September 30.
