Benjamin Eric Jones is a phenomenal golfer and is a part of the Gilbert Christian golf team. As a junior on the team he plays a very important leadership role and sets an amazing example for the younger golfers. He is perfect for the job and just the guy coach Jay Feely needs by his side.

Ben is somewhat of an experienced golfer. He has been playing for years from picking up a club with his family as a young boy to hitting the greens with his friends on a Sunday afternoon. This, however, is his first year playing competitively for a team. You would not be able to tell, though, as he plays with great poise, calmness, and confidence. He has exceeded many expectations and is doing wonders on the golf course, not just for himself but for the team as well.

When asked if he had enjoyed his first season of golf Ben responded with, “Yes, it was a great time and I had fun picking up a new sport. I have grown to love and really enjoy the game of golf and I am looking forward to playing some more.” That’s a great answer from a great athlete if you ask me.

The team aspect of golf is something that you really don’t expect. Golf is considered a single person sport but it is much more than that. Ben demonstrates that really well with his willingness to help and his commitment to the team. He shows us that it’s not just about him or the next guy or girl, rather it’s all of us coming together and winning together. It is a great atmosphere that Ben and the coaches have created and everyone can’t get enough of it.

Ben really does it all. Along with golf, Jones also is a swimmer. Not only is his stroke perfect on the course it also translates very well to the pool. He is a member of Bel Canto, a club at school, and plays a very important role there too. The young star is sharing his gifts with everyone any chance he gets. So in the end you better watch out for the multi-talented 17 year old; and in case you forgot, his name is Ben Jones.
