Kalysta Kuebler, a senior on the golf team

Kalysta Kuebler is a senior at Gilbert Christain High school and is in her fourth year as a member on the varsity golf team. Kalysta has had a very successful golfing career, considering it runs in her family and she started pursuing it at a very young age.
How long have you been involved in golf?
“Since I was ten, so for eight years.”
What has been your biggest accomplishment in your golf career?
“I qualified for state my sophomore year as an individual against all males.”
How is this year’s team different from past teams?
“I am the only senior and it's a very new and young team.”
What do you enjoy most about golf?
“The social aspect and the cute skirts.”
What are you looking forward to most about this year?
“The state tournament, it's really fun because I get to see a lot of people I know.”
What is your favorite thing about your coach? (Jay Feely)
“He’s very encouraging in a strict way, but he’s also really personable in how he does it; and we get along really well.”
How would you describe your team environment?
“Really young and goofy and just out there to have a fun time.”
It is very evident that Kalysta Kuebler has the drive for excellence and will stop at nothing to perform to the best of her abilities, even when the teams season was canceled last year due to COVID-19, Kalysta continued to practice during the off season to improve. Kalysta gives her all in everything that she does and that shows through when all her hard work pays off in the end.
