Christopher Owen attends Canyon View High School and is a member of the AIA's Student SID program.

Verrado takes the win against Canyon View with a score of 50-30. 

Sophomore Caidyn Spickler got the Jaguars started at the free throw line cutting the lead to 6-2. Sophomore Taylor Jacobs followed that up with a free throw making the score 10-3.

Spickler started the second quarter off with a three-pointer putting the score at 14-6. Following this, freshman Avery Spickler made a three-pointer making the score 19-15 at halftime. 

“We played really well in the first half but lost it during the second half,” freshman Avery Spickler said. 

Early in the fourth quarter Caidyn Spickler made a two-pointer making the score 43-25. Spickler went to the free throw line to pull the Jaguars within 16. Freshman Ella Seymour finished the Canyon View scoring at the free throw line making the score 48-30.

“People had their ups and downs but we’ll get them next time,” said freshman Ella Seymour.
