Twenty-four boys teams and 26 girls teams are entered in two divisions each for the annual Coyote Classic Soccer Tournament hosted by Campo Verde and Higley high schools.

The tournament begins Saturday Dec. 7 with games at both sites and continues Dec. 9-14 with  semifinals and finals on Saturday. Campo Verde hosts the A Divsions for boys and girls and Higley hosts B Division contests.

Ten of the 12 A Division girls teams entered qualified for the quarterfinals or better at state last year - 6A Chaparra (state champs)l, Desert Vista, Basha, Perry (state runner-up), Highland, Desert Ridge and Pinnacle  and 5A Campo Verde (state champ), Casteel and Desert Mountain. Four of the 14 A Division boys teams reached the quarters or better last year - 6A Corona del Sol and Perry and 5A Campo Verde (state runner-up) and Casteel.

All A Division (boys and girls matches) will be played at Campo Verde HS. All B Division (boys and girls matches) will be played at Higley HS. GIRLS A DIVISION

Basha, Campo Verde, Casteel, Chaparral, Desert Mountain, Desert Ridge, Desert Vista, Highland, Perry, Pinnacle, Red Mountain, Willow Canyon.

GIRLS B DIVISiON

Chandler, Corona del Sol, Cortez, Gilbert, Higley, Maricopa, Mesa, Mesquite, Mountain Pointe, Mountain View, Queen Creek, Seton, Skyline, Westwood.
