THE MATCHUP: Williams Field has won 11 games in a row. The Black Hawks have fashioned a balanced offense with two 1,000-yard rushers in Kaden Cloud and Kendrix Lurry and quarterback Mason Bugg, who has set the single-season, school record for passing yardage and TDs in his only season as starter at the position. Bugg actually missed most of the previous meeting with Campo, due to a concussion suffered in the first half of the contest. Williams Field won the previous meeting in October of these San Tan Region rivals handily, 35-13. Williams Field coach Steve Campbell is particularly proud of his defense, which returned only two starters and has done its fair share to advance the team to the final. Campo Verde regrouped after losing its final three regular-season games to top 5 conference region opponents to win its playoff games and qualify for the school's first-ever title game. The Coyotes received a big year from junior running back Caden Calloway, but he will miss the title game with a broken foot suffered in the semifinal. It's next man up and that's likely younger brother Connor Calloway. The prior meeting with Williams Field was not kind to Coyotes' QB Zach Herrera, who threw four interceptions that evening. Herrera has bounced back in postseason passing for six TDs using his gunslinger mentality in opting for big plays. Red-hot receiver Ryan Hutchens has caught all six TDs thrown by  Herrera in the playoffs. He has capable options in Danny Mcfarland and Eddie Llona.
