It's not quite spring break for schools in the Valley, but softball and baseball invites for March begin Tuesday and continue throughout the month. In the short term here are some of the the tourneys in the Vallley and a few from other parts of the state that run through March 16:

Schools competing: Goldwater, Thunderbird, Saguaro, Paradise Honors, Bradshaw Mountain, Notre Dame Prep, Casteel, Morenci, Desert Vista, Valley Vista, Yuma Catholic, Apollo, Alhambra, St. Mary's, Moon Valley, Peoria, Northwest Christian, North Canyon, Cactus Shadows, Apache Junction, Arcadia, Glendale, Betty Fairfax, Gallup (NM).

24TH ANNUAL DAVE KOPS TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS (March 7-9) -- hosted by Mohave High School, Rotary Park

Schools competing: There are 50 total. Arizona schools participating along with a host of out of state teams from California, New Mexico, Nevada and Utah. Arizona entries competing in various brackets:  Gila Ridge, Salpointe Catholic, Winslow, Hamilton, Cibola, Greenway, Mohave, Cienega, Flagstaff, River Valley, Sandra Day O'Connor, Perry, Verrado and Cactus.

DESERT MOUNTAIN INVITATIONAL (March 13-16) -- hosted by Desert Mountain and Horizon high schools
